Launched the US$170 million Philippine Geothermal Resource De-Risking Facility with the DOE and Landbank in December 2025. The government covers at least half of geothermal exploration and drilling costs through a conditionally repayable grant, and applications opened in Q1 2026. ADB also co-financed the Muara Laboh geothermal expansion in Indonesia (January 2025).

Endorsed a US$500 million Accelerating Coal Transition plan for the Philippines (US$475 million in loans, US$25 million in grants) in June 2024. It targets 1,500 MW of new renewable capacity by 2030, including battery systems, offshore wind, floating solar and pumped hydro, delivered through ADB, the World Bank and IFC.
